Fire Evacuation Training
Risk Assessment Solutions offer bespoke Fire and Evacuation Training particularly aimed at (but not exclusive to) those in the Healthcare Sector, Nursing, and Residential Care Homes.
In an emergency situation care staff play a vital role in ensuring that everyone is evacuated away from the fire as quickly and as safely as possible. This may entail horizontal or vertical evacuation.
Safe movement of vulnerable people is dependent on staff being well trained in the emergency procedures and competent in the use of any evacuation aids, and a safe meeting point, (usually at the fire alarm panel) that is known to all staff prior to an emergency!
Our Fire and Evacuation Training Courses are designed to give staff the skills and confidence they need to implement a safe evacuation. Because all our courses are delivered at their premises, staff are able to understand more fully the methods and plans for a successful evacuation.
In certain situations an aid such as Evacuation Sledges are required to move residents who may either be immobile, incapacitated, or need to moved in order to be taken to safety.
The sledges we supply are foam lined for patient comfort, with belts and pockets to hold the patient in place. These are stored in pouches and can be hung on a wall. We believe that they offer terrific value for money and are the best sledges available on the market.
In situations where sledges are not available we train staff how to perform a Horizontal Evacuation using items available to them such as quilts and bedspreads.
Whatever the premises, our training courses give staff the skills they require to execute a successful evacuation procedure in the event of a fire or other emergency.
